Abstract

Greenhouse gas emissions are unfavorably changing the world's climate. Climate change is today’s global issues. Along with natural causes, human activities have been actively contributed to the air pollution through agriculture, industrial revolutions and increase in transportation. Although it has not been confirmed as a primary factor that is directly causing drought; however, the effort to reduce greenhouse gas emission is widely committed among nations. With better understand of how greenhouse gases are created and affecting climate change, we can recognize that drought is a phenomenon that happens gradually through the years. In this paper, I will explore the past and current greenhouse gases levels, drought situations in worldwide, U.S. and California in particular. The policies have been in place and the commitments to decrease warm temperature conditions to stabilize climate change. This paper will provide a deeper insight of the causes and effects of greenhouse gases and drought and if California drought was indeed a natural cause or was it affected by human activities?
